This comprehensive review of the literature investigates how public sector employees' wellbeing is affected by reward schemes. The correlation between reward and employee wellbeing is a crucial subject of multidisciplinary study in the fields of human resource management and psychology. This concept paper investigates the impact of reward, including both monetary and non-monetary reward of public sector employees in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The study employs a cross-sectional survey design to collect data from employees in different ministries. The research aims to determine the various types of rewards including financial reward like wages and other non-financial reward, such as work-life balance, training, recognition and others that influence the wellbeing of public sector employees. This study will provide useful insights into the particular problems and opportunities of developing effective renumeration system in the organizations especially involving the public sector. The results will assist in developing a more thorough comprehension of how to formulate and implement reward system that enhance the employee wellbeing in the public sector. The study provides recommendations for future research to fill existing gaps and get a deeper understanding of the complex relationship between rewards and employee wellbeing.
