Simulation reveals coexistence of multiple dynamic attractors in a chaotic system, suggesting new avenues for information security applications.
This paper proposes and investigates a third-order chaotic system that can generate both attractor rotation phenomena and the coexistence of grid attractors. By introducing the sine function and cubic polynomial nonlinear term into the differential equation, the system exhibits complex dynamic behavior, can generate an infinite number of coexisting attractors, and shows obvious grid structure characteristics. To further enrich the dynamical features of the system, a rotation matrix is introduced to reconstruct the original system structure, thereby constructing a chaotic system capable of producing a rotating attractor phenomenon. By adjusting the initial conditions and rotation parameters, the system exhibits rich coexistence phenomena of attractors rotating in the simulation experiment. Complexity analysis reveals the distribution characteristics of the system’s attractor basin, reflecting the system’s complex phase space structure and extreme sensitivity to initial conditions. The combined characteristics of the rotational phenomena of the attractor and the coexistence of grids in this system not only expand the research perspective of chaotic systems but also provide new possibilities for their application in fields such as information security.
