Novel method increases signal intensity in multiplex assays, implying improved efficiency for immunofluorescence studies.
Description FlexAble is an innovative antibody labeling approach that simplifies rapid conjugation of primary antibodies to fluorophores, enabling efficient same-species multiplex immunofluorescence. This labeling solution allows researchers to functionalize primary IgGs with desired fluorophores via a simple mixing and incubation process, requiring only 10 minutes, with no specialized equipment or chemical expertise needed. FlexAble labeling is compatible with primary antibody buffers from any supplier, as glycerol and other additives do not interfere with the reaction. With FlexAble 2.0, we achieve up to a 300% increase in signal intensity compared to FlexAble 1.0, delivering enhanced brightness and versatility for complex multiplex assays. We are further expanding this method to label primary antibodies with reporter proteins (e.g., HRP, PE, APC), biotin, DNA oligonucleotides, rare-earth metals, and more. These developments support applications in multiplex flow cytometry, nucleotide barcoding (e.g., 10x Genomics), and IMC (e.g., CyTOF). Topic Categories Technological Innovations in Immunology (TECH)
