This analysis reveals interactions of particles and light in various particle beam techniques, suggesting broader research applications.
Particle accelerators were invented in the early 20th century to study nuclear and particle physics. Nevertheless, particle accelerators have found increasing applications in generating powerful radiation light sources for many areas of research. On the other hands, various advanced particle beam techniques involve the use of lasers and the radiation produced by the beam itself. This paper is a personal reection of several aspects of interactions between particles and light.
