Analysis reveals that pinned solitons in dusty plasma exhibit strong dependence on coupling parameter, suggesting critical insights into Yukawa fluids behavior.
We present a comprehensive study on the formation and characteristics of pinned solitons in a strongly coupled Yukawa medium, focusing on their sensitivity to the coupling parameter and screening parameter . By employing a fluid description with suitable thermodynamical functions, we overcome the limitations of existing approaches such as the Quasi‐Localized Charge Approximation (QLCA) and the Generalized Hydrodynamic (GH) model, thereby enabling analysis across a broad range of coupling () and screening () parameters. We derive a forced Korteweg–de Vries (fKdV) equation using the reductive perturbation technique to study pinned solitons generated by a moving obstacle in strongly coupled Yukawa fluids. Our analytical results reveal that in the localized phase, both the amplitude and width of the pinned soliton exhibit strong dependence on , with the amplitude increasing and the width decreasing as increases. In the weakly coupled regime of a dusty plasma, both the amplitude and width of the pinned solitons increase with the coupling parameter . However, once the system transitions to the localized phase, these quantities saturate and exhibit negligible dependence on . The numerical solutions are also presented to validate the results and extend them to more general source profiles, enabling the generation and characterization of pinned solitons under broader conditions.
