Symposium highlighted effective life care planning approaches for spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries, suggesting ethical practices in litigation.
This year’s theme: “From Litigation to Implementation: Developing Life Care Plans that Work” brought together an exemplary line-up of presentations addressing a variety of topics from testimony to ethics in life care planning. As a first this year, the ISLCP teamed up with Craig Hospital, a national center of excellence in the neurorehabilitation and research of patients with spinal cord injury (SCI) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Attendees of the 2012 ISLCP were thereby able to benefit from nationally recognized rehabilitation experts in the SCI and TBI fields from Craig Hospital and many participants also had an opportunity to tour Craig Hospital while in Denver.
