Geodynamically modelled process of geosyncline formation indicates tectonics interact with lower-mantle diapirism.
It has been shown that mechanism of a geosyncline process consistent with the facts and theoretical principles of plate tectonics can be modelled geodynamically. The crucial factor in this mechanism is supposed to be motion of a lower-mantle thermochemical diapir through a phase transitional zone of the mantle, which leads to a classical sequence of tectonomagmatic events of a geosyncline cycle: regional downwarping, movement inversion, basalt and granite magmatism, and ultimate folding. The diversity of geosyncline structures is explained by the inhomogeneity of the Iithosphere moving under a hot zone of mantle diapirism. The paper provides factual geophysical support for the hypothesis of mantle diapirism. Under discussion is the separation of this complicated geodynamic process into several parts and stages rather simple for mathematical simulation.
