Descriptive retrospective study reveals common airway foreign bodies in vulnerable populations, highlighting risk factors for choking incidents.
FBAO can occur at any age, but is more common in children, the elderly and people with various health conditions. Some foreign bodies, such as steak, chicken, grapes, candy and hot dog, are thought to be more likely to enter the airway than others. These common foreign bodies and individuals with risk factors require special attention to ensure that such accidents are detected and prevented in time.
