Theoretical models illustrate how resource management decisions improve financial performance in strategists' firms.
Scholars hold that firm strategy is a key determinant of SCA ([@R24]). But what steps allow managers to connect strategy and SCA? We suggest that strategists operationalize firm strategy through resource management decisions. Correspondingly, we construct a series of theoretical models to link a) strategy, b) resource management, and c) SCA. The first set of models “matches” [@R24] firm strategies with [@R21] resource management activities. In the second set of models, we propose that those firms matching strategies and resource management activities will attain superior financial performance.
