Case report demonstrates significant symptomatic relief in renal calculi, suggesting non-invasive approaches can be effective.
Renal calculi are one of the most common urological disorders worldwide, associated with pain, urinary discomfort and risk of recurrence. Conventional management includes analgesics, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, or surgical removal, which are effective but often associated with recurrence and side effects. Naturopathic interventions emphasise hydration, dietary modification, hydrotherapy, reflexology and relaxation to promote natural kidney stone passage and prevent recurrence. We report a case of a 30-year-old female with renal calculus managed successfully with Naturopathic interventions. The integrative protocol included foot reflexology, hydrotherapy (kidney pack), dietary modifications with barley water and tender coconut and relaxation techniques. Significant symptomatic relief was observed within 2 weeks, and follow-up ultrasonography confirmed kidney stone clearance after 1 month. This case highlights the role of Naturopathic interventions as safe, supportive and non-invasive approaches in the management of renal calculi.
