K 6 Mo 8 PO 29 OH·H 2 O and K 6 Mo 5 P 2 O 23 ·7H 2 O: strongly distorted MoO 6 octahedral groups effectively enhance birefringence

Abstract

Two molybdate phosphates were synthesized based on the design of K 3 PO 4 introducing a strongly distorted MoO 6 group to effectively enhance birefringence from 0.006 to 0.077 and 0.127@1064 nm, respectively.
