Observational analysis reveals Dark Energy dynamics correlate with cosmic star formation rates, suggesting information processing influences expansion.
The Entanglement-Driven Cosmological Expansion (EDCE) theory posits that Dark Energy is not a cosmological constant (w =−1), but a dynamic geometric reaction to the generation of entanglement entropy within the universe. A core prediction of this framework is that the Dark Energy equation of state, w(z), must evolve over cosmic time in correlation with the rate of information production, specifically the cosmic Star Formation Rate (SFR). In this paper, we analyze the Pantheon+ Type Ia supernova dataset using the w0waCDM parametrization chains. We report a significant deviation from ΛCDM, finding that the equation of state evolves from w(z = 0) ≈ −1.2 to a peak negative pressure of w(z ≈ 1.9) ≈ −1.5. This deviation (∆w ≈ −0.33) correlates strongly with the epoch of ”Cosmic Noon,” where the Star Formation Rate density reached its historical maximum. These findings provide preliminary observational support for the hypothesis that cosmic expansion is driven by information processing.
