Clinical management addressed a case of pure choriocarcinoma of the bladder in a 46-year-old woman, highlighting the need for multimodal therapy.
Choriocarcinoma is a rare and aggressive malignancy that develops from trophoblastic cells usually originating from the uterus or gonads. These are characterized by early hematogenous spread to the lungs. Even rarer is choriocarcinoma of the bladder, which has no standardized treatment protocol. Management typically includes a multimodal approach with chemotherapy, surgery, and radiotherapy. Here, we present a case of our clinical management for a 46-year-old woman diagnosed with pure choriocarcinoma of the bladder.
