This paper presents a narrative review and theoretical synthesis of environmental pattern recognition and its influence on decision-making in autistic cognition. Drawing on foundational behavioral theory (Watson, Skinner) and contemporary empirical research, the paper examines how autistic individuals extract predictive structure from multisensory environmental cues. The methodology integrates empirical findings, theoretical frameworks, and conceptual analysis to map the cognitive processes through which patterns guide learning, self-regulation, and adaptive choice. Particular attention is given to the interaction between sensory integration, executive function, and social context. The analysis suggests that early recognition of environmental learning patterns may inform interventions that support autonomy and functional decision-making. By framing pattern recognition as a functional, context-sensitive cognitive scaffold rather than a deficit-based trait, this paper extends current models of learning beyond language-dependent measures and offers a conceptual framework relevant to early intervention, occupational therapy, and educational practice.
