A programme of archaeological work, consisting of a trial trench evaluation and watching brief, was carried out in advance of and during the creation of a pond and works to re-grade the riverbank within Charterhouse Heritage Park, Coventry, on behalf of the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust. The work was carried out in accordance with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists' Standard for archaeological field evaluation (2023a) and Standard for archaeological monitoring and recording (2023b). No remains of archaeological significance were observed during either the archaeological evaluation or watching brief. The layers recorded during both phases of archaeological work, are post-medieval to modern in date, most likely from the early 20th century. They are most likely associated with raising ground level adjacent to the course of the river at this time.
