The evolution of artistic gymnastics has led to the rejuvenation of this sport against the background of significant complication of programs, the emergence of new complex elements and speed of their execution. It is speed-strength qualities that are of particular importance for gymnastics, being the basis for the execution of complex elements and the basis for high-quality mastery of new exercises. The purpose of the study: to monitor and comparatively analyze the influence of the developed methodology on the development of speed-strength qualities of 10–11 year old gymnasts from the Kimry Youth Sports School (Tver Region) and the State Educational Institution of Additional Education for Sports School No. 1 in Petrozavodsk. The following methods were used to achieve this goal: testing the level of physical fitness; pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. The average test results show that gymnasts from both schools demonstrated improvement in most indicators after the implementation of the experimental program. The results obtained can be used to adjust the training programs of young gymnasts.
