Seismo-stratigraphic analysis reveals petroleum potential linked to Upper Paleozoic paleoconstructions.
Based on seismo-stratigraphic approach to the analysis of seismic record pattern for the southeastern Nyurolka depression, zones of developing of seismofacies of the type of organogenic paleoconstructions have been recognized in time sections and localized in plan. The joint interpretation of time seismic sections of gravitation field structure and data on physical parameters of wave field is not contradictory with the hypothesized existence of the Upper Paleozoic paleoreefs on the area under study. Thus, it is quite possible that the petroleum potential of the upper Paleozoic complex can be related not only with crusts of weathering or erosional inliers of the basement but with the paleoconstructions of organogenic type, principally new objects in the Tomsk region.
