Abstract This review highlights the close relationship between Sustainable development ethics and Environmental justice, which promotes fairness and long-term environmental protection. It states that sustainable development involves the responsible use of resources, while environmental justice focuses on universal access to environmental benefits and protection from environmental harm. The study also shows that marginalized communities face greater ecological risks and have less participation in decision-making processes. Considering global and Indian frameworks, ethical principles, and policy challenges, the review emphasizes that vulnerable populations are disproportionately affected by pollution and resource inequalities. Consequently, ethical governance, inclusive participation, and equitable environmental policies are essential for achieving social equity, ecological integrity, and sustainable development.
