These lecture notes provide an introductory overview of control systems and control engineering for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The notes cover basic terminology, open-loop and closed-loop systems, mathematical modelling, time domain and frequency domain analysis and an overview of the stability concept. Applications of control engineering in industrial and modern engineering systems are also discussed.
