This manuscript demonstrates a proof-completion reduction via an EB-only closure packet, highlighting implications for verification.
# Summary (v5.6) ## OverviewThis release advances a **certification-to-proof pipeline** for the Collatz conjecture by formalizing an **EB-only closure packet** interface at a base instance \((k_,L)\). The manuscript separates the program into two layers: - **Internal layer (deterministic mathematics):** once a closure packet is supplied, the operator/absorption implications (Dirichlet gap engine, annealed contraction, and the Gate B closure step) are proved internally as a strict implication chain.- **External layer (finite certificates only):** the only computational role is to produce **auditable witness objects** and logs at a fixed \((k_,L)\) that mechanically imply the operator inequalities used by the internal layer. The central accounting rule is the budget-to-lift mechanism:\[ηlift(k_,L):=εBL(k_,L)+εComp(k_,L),κeff:=κ_-ηlift.\]A **Level-2A** numerical claim requires *threshold enforcement* (see below), e.g. \(κeff>0\) and \(δbad≤ δₘₐₓ<1\), as a mechanical PASS/FAIL rule. ## Files in this Zenodo record- `Collatz_Final_Gate_v5.6.pdf` — main manuscript.- `demo_closure_packet_v0.2_template_v5.6.zip` — public **closure-packet template** (schema-complete JSON + hashes/manifest + audit scripts). (Template note: thresholds may be shipped with `"enforce": false` by default; a Level-2A *claim* requires `"enforce": true` and nontrivial cutoffs.) ## Closed results (in the manuscript)- **Finite-level conductance and Cheeger surrogate:** explicit, scale-independent constants on \(Z/2^kZ\).- **Inverse-limit Poincaré / spectral-gap transfer:** global Poincaré inequality for the inverse-limit Dirichlet form.- **Dirichlet/absorbing gap engine (annealed core):** a uniform Dirichlet-gap mechanism for nested absorbing geometries under stated flux/retention hypotheses.- **No “one-step Doeblin smuggling”:** conductance \(φ_0\) and designated refresh \(αref\) are kept logically separate throughout the proof engine.- **Public audit schema:** Appendix G specifies minimal JSON fields, canonical hashing, manifests, and mechanical audit commands. ## What is new in v5.6- **Level-2A preparation:** the main text and Appendix G explicitly define threshold enforcement via `thresholds.json` for Level-1B/Level-2A numerical claims, with an auditor-required PASS/FAIL policy.- **v0.2 closure-packet template:** a schema-complete, uploadable artifact bundle (JSON + hashes + manifest + audit scripts) aligned to the paper’s Appendix G schema. ## Scope & non-toy status- This release does **not** claim a completed proof of the Collatz conjecture.- It is **not a “toy”** in the following sense: - the internal layer is a complete deterministic proof engine once the finite predicates are supplied, - the external layer is constrained to auditable finite artifacts with a formally specified soundness interface, - progress is concentrated into sharply localized closure tasks (finite TwGap at \((k_,L)\), leakage budgets, and a small arithmetic tail). ## Program closure and targetsThe remaining bottlenecks are deliberately explicit: 1) **B1 — TwGap@base (finite spectral verification at \((k_,L)\)):** certify contraction for all nontrivial representatives, with auditable witnesses \(W_τ\).2) **B2 — arithmetic tail control:** certify a small uncontrolled fraction \(δbad(k_,L)\) (carry-aware “bad twists” tail) below an explicit threshold.3) **Gate B / AP-dispersion target:** prove or certify the carry-aware AP-dispersion/correlation interface unconditionally; then Gate B becomes unconditional.4) **Finite verification inside \(BK_0\):** once \(K_0\) is fixed against proved constants, publish exhaustive verification artifacts as a verification lemma. A public **Level-2A instance** is obtained by releasing at least one single-instance packet with `thresholds.json` enforcing nontrivial inequalities (e.g. \(κeff>0\), \(δbad≤δₘₐₓ\)) that passes mechanical audit. ## KeywordsCollatz conjecture; certification-to-proof reduction; closure packet; twisted transfer operators; spectral gap; Dirichlet gap; absorbing sets; conductance/flux bounds; carry leakage budgets; auditable witnesses; reproducible certification; mechanical audit. ========================= Author: Lee Byoungwoo leeclinic@protonmail.com
