The research aims to assess the correlation between TSH levels and hearing outcomes in sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL).
Correlational analysis of TSH levels in individuals diagnosed with SSNHL.
Assessment of hearing gain following treatment in relation to TSH levels.
A negative correlation was found between TSH levels and hearing gain in SSNHL.
Higher TSH levels were associated with poorer hearing outcomes after treatment.
Abstract
This study results showed that TSH level is negatively correlated to hearing gain in SSNHL. Our authors suggest the possibility of TSH being a prognostic factor for SSNHL treatment.
