Gradiometer survey uncovers historical agricultural features in an archaeological site, suggesting past land use.
Gradiometer survey completed with Bartington Grad601-2 and a Sensys FMG650/3. The survey produced good data and confirmed the presence of anomalies that have been interpreted as being archaeological in origin and evidence of historical agricultural land use and field arrangements. These anomalies included ditch boundary features containing dense areas of activity most likely dating to the medieval period.
