New complex salts demonstrate high mutual metal solubility upon decomposition, suggesting important thermal properties.
New double complex salts [Co(NH₃)₅Cl][Cu(H₂O)(C₂O₄)₂] and [Co(en)₃]₂[Cu(H₂O)(C₂O₄)₂]₂[Cu(H₂O)₂(C₂O₄)₂]·10H₂O (en — ethylenediamine) have been synthesized and their thermal properties studied. The compounds were characterized using various physicochemical methods (PXRD, SCXRD, IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis). It has been established that upon decomposition of these complex salts, metastable solid solutions CoxCu₁₋ₓ with high mutual metal solubility are formed.
