Abstract

We present rigorous theoretical and observational evidence that the recently discovered “Big Ring”—a structure with a diameter of approximately 1.3 billion light-years at redshift z ≈ 0.78—arises as a natural consequence of vibrational modes in the energetic fabric of spacetime. This structure exceeds the Cosmological Principle’s predicted maximum coherence scale of ∼1.2 billion light-years, posing a challenge to standard cosmological expectations. Within the Energetic Vacuum Information Field Equations (EVIFE) framework, the Big Ring finds a natural and non-ad hoc explanation. We demonstrate a precise correspondence between:(1) the observed scale of the Big Ring (∼400 Mpc diameter) and the predicted resonance peak of the vibrational two-point correlation function at separations r ∈ 400, 800 Mpc;(2) the annular and circular morphology of the structure and the nodal patterns emerging from fourth-order biharmonic wave equations, mathematically analogous to Chladni acoustic modes;(3) a quantitative enhancement of galaxy clustering at these scales, predicted to be (8.2 ± 2.1)% relative to standard ΛCDM expectations. A Bayesian model comparison yields an evidence ratio of ln B = −0.8 ± 1.2 relative to ΛCDM, indicating that the EVIFE framework is statistically competitive with standard cosmology, while simultaneously providing a natural physical explanation for large-scale coherent structures that otherwise require ad hoc extensions in conventional models.
