This record preserves an origin / field-notes artifact from the development of L5D-Ψ, an expressive overlay companion to L5D-Core v3. The intent is provenance: to show how an expressive protocol can emerge under the constraint of a one-dimensional medium (plain text), through iterative human–tool dialogue and the gradual invention of operators that carry superposed meaning. This is NOT the normative specification. For the clean, publishable overlay description, see the companion paper:• L5D-Ψ (polished companion) — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18364943 For the formal five-channel framework the overlay is designed to sit on top of:• L5D-Core v3 — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18358266 Series spine (recommended order):1) L5D-Core v3 — 10.5281/zenodo.183582662) L5D-Ψ (polished) — 10.5281/zenodo.183649433) L5D-Ψ Origin / Field Notes (this record) — 10.5281/zenodo.18364945 Background / adjacent records in the same Safety UX line:• The Human-in-the-LLM Box — 10.5281/zenodo.18357935• Depth Avoidance — 10.5281/zenodo.18168544• Victor Calibration (VC) — arXiv:2512.17956
