Our findings underscore the multifaceted role of CTSK in maintaining critical cellular processes within the TM. Specifically, we have shown that CTSK is closely involved in regulating ECM homeostasis, influencing calcium signaling, and governing cytoskeletal dynamics and TM cellularity.
