Purpose The purpose of this study is to identify the current and emerging trend of sustainable performance in terms of bibliometric research conducted by authors from various fields. Design/methodology/approach This study provides an analysis in terms of scholarly literature published from 2011 to 2025 on Scopus by using data analytical tool of Perish or Publish and visual software tool, VosViewer. The science mapping includes analysis of citation, author, co-authorship, institution, journal, document type, keyword and title and abstract. Findings This study identifies the most influential countries, authors and institutions in the topic of sustainable performance as well as the themes studied in the relevant disciplines. This paper concludes with the emerging issues and future research agenda in the area of sustainable performance. Research limitations/implications The study concentrates on bibliometric analysis publications on Scopus only while the VOSviewer focuses on quantitative measures. This limitation overlooked other important elements such as theoretical aspects and SDG alignment. Originality/value The originality of this paper lies within its data and mapping. The difference from previous bibliometric analysis is its analysis is not based on specific angle but covers multiple bibliometric papers in multidisciplinary studies.
