Recently, there has been a significant increase in terrorist crimes in Russia. Terrorism, by its very nature, brings cruelty, violence, suffering, and what is most terrible is human sacrifice. Due to the active spread of information technologies and the growth of their capabilities, the scale of the impact of terrorism is not limited only to direct victims. Media and Internet coverage of events significantly increases the number of indirect victims. The negative consequences of a terrorist threat can be devastating for a person and persist for a long time. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the traumatic impact of the terrorist threat on a person based on the analysis of scientific research. The object of the study is the terrorist threat. The subject of the study is the peculiarities of the traumatic impact of the terrorist threat on a person. Methodology. The methods of analysis, generalization and systematization of scientific research were used, which were searched through eLibrary.Ru, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Scopus. As a result, 41 publications published from 2002 to the present were selected. Conclusions. The following risk factors are identified as increasing the intensity of the consequences of the terrorist threat:: individual demographic and biographical characteristics (female gender, age, low level of education, living in the vicinity of the place of the terrorist attack, etc.), traumatic experience in the past, the presence of anxiety-depressive symptoms, a tendency to addictive behavior, the nature of the direct impact of the terrorist attack on a person, lack of external personal resources (social support). The scientific novelty lies in the identification of the complex and multifaceted impact of the terrorist threat on a person, manifested on three levels: 1) psychological level (psychological, clinical-psychological, socio-psychological); 2) somatic level; 3) subject-integrative level. Understanding the consequences of the terrorist threat and the levels of its traumatic impact will help specialists choose effective psychodiagnostic tools for their assessment, identify the «risk group» in a timely manner, and develop targeted psychological assistance and prevention programs.
