In January 2026, Khaby Lame—TikTok’s most-followed creator with 162 million followers—sold his brand management company, Step Distinctive Limited, to Hong Kong–based Rich Sparkle Holdings in a transaction valued at 975 million. This paper examines what may be the largest creator economy transaction to date, analyzing its structure, implications, and controversies. The deal represents a watershed moment: the transformation of a human creator from an individual artist into a tradable financial instrument. Through a comprehensive analysis of SEC filings, market data, and underlying financial mechanics, we demonstrate that this transaction exemplifies both the extraordinary value creation enabled by digital influence and the significant risks inherent in the financialization of personal brands. Critically, the agreement authorizes the creation of an AI-powered “digital twin” capable of generating content in Lame’s likeness, voice, and behavioral patterns—effectively enabling continuous, 24/7 commercialization independent of the creator’s physical presence.
