Demonstrates the synthesis of trideuteromethylated isoxazolines from β,γ-unsaturated oximes, suggesting a new method for creating complex molecules.
The trideuteromethylated isoxazolines were efficiently synthesized via trideuteromethylation of β , γ ‐unsaturated oximes by employing Fenton's reagent system with DMSO‐ d 6 as the “CD 3 ” source. Mechanistically, it was postulated that the hydroxyl radical generated from Fenton's reagent system first reacted with DMSO ‐d 6 to give the trideuteromethyl radical, which underwent radical substitution followed by cyclization with β , γ ‐unsaturated oximes to give the title products.
