An efficient method demonstrates regioselective monofluoromethylthiolation of imidazopyridines, suggesting practical applications.
An efficient method for the electrochemical monofluoromethylthiolation of imidazo[1,2‐ a ]pyridine has been developed. The method employs bunte salt as the monofluoromethylthiolating reagent. This reaction occurs in an undivided cell without the need for catalysts, oxidants, or electrolytes. Various substituted 2‐arylimidazo[1,2‐ a ]pyridines C‐3 monofluoromethylthiolation products are obtained regioselectively, with good yields.
