Analysis of stellar models under Rastall teleparallel gravity indicates their viability in explaining pulsar observations.
Within the context of Rastall teleparallel gravity, we analyze two stellar models coupled with the anisotropic pressure distribution in their interior. The study initiates with the assumption of a static spherically symmetric geometry, from which we obtain modified gravitational equations exhibiting high nonlinearity. To derive exact solutions, we implement particular ansatz, namely, the Finch–Skea metric and the Karmarkar condition. For these metric choices, the governing equations are simplified significantly, allowing exact solutions to be derived. The integration constants appearing in these solutions are determined by applying junction conditions at the boundary, i.e. by matching the interior and exterior Reissner–Nordström spacetimes. The derived solutions are then validated against observational data from multiple known pulsars with a particular value of the coupling parameter. It is concluded that both the derived stellar configurations maintain physical viability in the considered gravity framework, matching observational expectations.
