This project demonstrates how education enhances self-confidence and fosters gender equality in young women, suggesting its vital role for societal change.
Women’s empowerment is a powerful tool for promoting gender equality and transforming society. When young people have access to education, knowledge, and opportunities, they become agents of change in their communities, capable of challenging stereotypes and building a fairer future. This project not only seeks to develop skills and increase self-confidence but also emphasizes the importance of issues related to sexual health, reproductive rights, and violence prevention, promoting a broader and more respectful understanding of the body, sexuality, and human rights. Thus, they can become protagonists of their stories, contributing to a more egalitarian, conscious, and responsible society. The goal is to empower young women, providing them with the necessary tools to develop their personal and professional potential. Specifically, it seeks to increase self-confidence, promote awareness of rights, gender equality and sexual health. The project uses a multidisciplinary approach, involving training, discussions, debates, lectures, practical and recreational activities. The meetings cover topics such as leadership, health mental, women ‘s rights, socio-emotional skills and sexual education. The results of the project showed a significant impact on the lives of the participants. There was a notable increase in self-confidence, in the perception of themselves and their capabilities and potential. As a result, we will present the Girls Education booklet, produced for this congress. The proposal proved to be effective in promoting self-confidence, leadership skills and awareness of rights among participants. These results highlight the importance of similar initiatives that integrate sexual education with female empowerment, expanding the reach and impact of messages and programs on gender equality and the development of socio-emotional skills.
