Case highlights risks of delayed surgery for chronic subdural hematoma, suggesting early evacuation may prevent complications.

Mdarhri et al. (2026) conducted a case report in Bilateral chronic subdural hematoma (n=1). Delayed surgical evacuation for 5-day aspirin washout followed by emergency bilateral burr hole evacuation was evaluated on Neurological outcome and postoperative radiological findings. Delaying surgical evacuation of bilateral chronic subdural hematoma for a 5-day aspirin washout resulted in acute rebleeding on day 3, transtentorial herniation, and bilateral PCA infarction.
