Entitled »assaults on reality«, the 36th annual conference of the German Association for Pastoral Psychology (DGfP) took place in May 2008 in Hofgeismar. This article describes the process of developing the conference and its course from the preparing group's point of view. Furthermore, it gives insight into aims of the conference and offers a theoretical description of the experiment held.
