Method estimates autochthon depth and characteristics in imbricate thrust structures, suggesting improved geological reconstructions.
A method is proposed for estimating the autochthon depth and other characteristics of imbricate thrust structures necessary for reconstructing balanced cross sections. This method is based on geothermometric and geobarometric calculations of the depth of occurrence of sediments in particular structures.
