Analysis reveals varying mercury concentrations in geological formations, indicating regional disparities.
Analysis of distribution of normal and anomalous mercury contents in the A1tai-Sayan folded region and Yenisei Ridge is given in the work. Changes of average mercury concentrations are followed in the rocks of different age. The investigations have shown that there is no connection between mercury contents and lithological rock composition. The background mercury concentrations are not uniform in the regions under consideration.
