Case report reveals testicular dislocation after inguinal hernia surgery, suggesting surgical risks in older patients.
Testicular dislocation after trauma to the testis is an uncommon incident, and also after groin hernia repair, it is a rare event. The common cause of dislocation of the testis is blunt trauma to the testis or abdominopelvic injury. In open inguinal hernia repair, isolating the vas deference and cord structure using digital manipulation may cause damage, disruption, and dislocation of the testis. We present the case report of postoperative dislocation of the testis in a 70-year-old male patient with a history of right-sided inguinal hernia repair.
