This analysis reveals boundaries' conversion properties in Earth's crust, implying improved material data reliability.
A means for statistical reduction and analysis of ECWM data (distribution of conversion points over a section plane) is proposed which uses the parameters accounting for details of setting and conditions of elastic wave excitation, as weights. Heterogeneity over the depth section is expressed by the continuous variable dubbed conversion rate. Supported by the other geological and geophysical data, the conversion rate provides a more reliable tool for obtaining data on the Earth’s crust structure and material. This statement is upheld by the example of Balkhash – Altai profile segment.
