Pretest-posttest design reveals ballistic and passive stretching improve hamstring flexibility in futsal players, suggesting effective training interventions.
Flexibility is the ability of muscle tissue to extend maximally so that the body can move with full ROM without pain and resistance. Good hamstring flexibility is able to contract concentrically and eccentrically with maximum ROM. This study is a pretest-posttest one group design. The population consisted of 27 people where 26 people were taken as samples by being given treatment in the form of Ballistic Stretching and Passive Stretching. Measurements were taken using the sit and reach test. Based on the paired t-test in the treatment group, the results of the Paired T test of hamstring muscle flexibility showed a significance value = 0.000 or (p < 0.05), which means that there is an influence of independent variables on related variables, namely the provision of ballistic stretching and passive stretching to increase hamstring muscle flexibility. Ballistic stretching and passive stretching have an effect on increasing hamstring muscle flexibility in futsal players.
