ABSTRACT This case highlights the importance of individualized treatment decisions in patients with recently symptomatic carotid artery stenosis causing cerebral infarction, including recurrent events within 1 year and a new infarction occurring 18 days before intervention. It also emphasizes the need for early recognition and timely management of postoperative carotid hyper perfusion syndrome.
