ABSTRACT Objective: Current theories ofconsciousness often lack a unifiedframework that bridges the gap betweenneural oscillatory synchronization (the"Binding Problem") and neurotransmitterbased modulation. This paper presentsVersion 3.0 of the Multi-NeurotransmitterPhase Synchronization (MNPS) model, reconceptualizing consciousness as adynamic resonance field termed the"Cognitive Data Field" (CDF).Theoretical Framework: The model positsthat the brain's "Rich-Club" structuralnetworks (e.g., OFC, PCC, Precuneus)function as executive Hub Nodes.Information transport relies on PhaseAmplitude Coupling (PAC), where highfrequency content waves (Gamma/Beta)are phase-locked to low-frequency carrierwaves (Theta/Alpha).Mechanism: Hub Nodes continuouslymonitor the instantaneous CDF and, upondetecting deviations from a target state, regulate local phase dynamics via specificneurotransmitter gating. This studyexplicates this mechanism through theOFC-Amygdala circuit, demonstratinghow Intercalated Cells (ITC) facilitateinhibitory control. Conclusion: MNPS v3.0 proposes thatconsciousness is not merely passiveawareness but an active phasemanagement process executed by HubNodes. This framework offers novelneurodynamic insights into psychiatricphenomena such as anhedonia anddepersonalization.
