Conceptual framework identifies shared perception in remote interaction, suggesting advancements for collaboration.
This conceptual paper introduces the In & At framework, a model of perceptual co-presence in which a remote participant can share a synchronized experiential perspective with another individual across spatial and temporal separation. Unlike traditional telecommunication or immersive media systems that transmit representations of environments, the proposed framework focuses on transmitting situated human perception. The paper argues that current XR systems primarily provide visual immersion without enabling shared experiential alignment. The framework outlines theoretical foundations, research questions, and potential applications in education, decision-making, training, and human collaboration. The work is intended as a research direction and an open scientific proposal rather than a description of a specific technological implementation. This manuscript is shared as an original conceptual preprint to establish academic precedence and invite scholarly discussion.
