Within fuel cell systems, the proton exchange membrane (PEM) is an indispensable functional component; therefore, the design and development of PEMs with good mechanical strength and high energy density are essential for the efficient use of energy. In this work, the PIL-SGO filler was prepared and was introduced into the C-SPAEKS polymer matrix to prepare the composite PEMs. The C-S/PIL-SGO-1% membrane had a good comprehensive performance; among them, the tensile strength was 54.61 MPa. The proton conductivity reached the highest with 213.5 mS cm –1 (at 90 °C, 100% RH). The peak power reached 927.33 mW/cm 2 , and the OCV was 0.9626 V. The results showed that the introduction of functionalized graphene oxide effectively improved the comprehensive performance of PEMs.
