Research shows optimal dynamic visual acuity with specific illumination and contrast, highlighting visual performance improvements.
Thirty male college students, with 20/20 vision or better, were tested under two levels of ambient illumination and two levels of contrast. Dynamic acuity data were then analyzed by a randomized complete block design (2 x 2 x 30) with repeated measures. The results indicate that an ambient illumination‐contrast combination exists where DVA is optimum.
