A new triterpenoid saponin 3β, 28-dihydroxy-20(29)-lupene-3-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-(1→4)-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl-28-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (1) together with known compounds ursolic acid, α-amyrine acetate and lupeol were isolated from ethanolic extract of the leaves of Blumea eriantha DC. Their structures were elucidated by various colour reactions, spectral analysis and chemical degradations. Compound 1 showed antifungal activity.
