Abstract

This article examines the psychological and metaphysical boundaries of spiritual transformation. Using the case study of Herta Brigitte Bertel (born Krug), the author analyzes the "narcissistic armor" and structural deficits that prevent the attainment of religious ideals such as Metanoia and transcendence. The work contrasts the "frozen" bourgeois facade with the potential for change in convicted criminals, highlighting the necessity of symbolization to break the cycle of transgenerational trauma. The author, a FIDE Master of Chess Composition, utilizes this analysis as a vicarious symbolic processing of a wordless past.
