The aim of the present study was to analyse whether mood state is influenced by fat percentage in bodybuilding practitioners. Quantitative, associative, and cross-sectional research was conducted with 82 practitioners (18-40 years) in Cajazeiras, PB. Jackson and Pollock's seven-skinfold protocol was used to measure fat percentage (%F), and the BRUMS questionnaire assessed mood. Data were analysed using JASP software, employing normality tests, chi-square, Pearson correlation, and ANOVA (p ≤ 0.05). A weak positive correlation was found between %F and fatigue (r=0.219; p=0.048) and a weak negative correlation between %F and vigour (r=-0.263; p=0.017). Men exhibited higher depression levels (p=0.012). No significant associations were found between practice time and mood. Higher fat percentages were associated with negative mood states, such as fatigue, while lower %F was linked to vigour.
