This speculative framework suggests consciousness arises from geometry in neural systems linked to dark matter, indicating new insights in multiple fields.
We propose the Geometric Receptor Framework (GRF), a speculative but internally consistent framework in which: (1) physical reality possesses an intrinsic experiential aspect not captured by relational physics (Russellian Monism); (2) dark matter constitutes the primary candidate for this experiential substrate; (3) biological neural systems function as receivers whose geometry — not size — determines the depth and resolution of conscious experience; and (4) the integrated information metric Φ quantifies receiver capacity. The framework addresses sixteen open problems across six fields (consciousness, cosmology, quantum mechanics, neuroscience, philosophy of mind, biology) with three core postulates, and generates testable predictions distinguishable from standard materialism. Two versions are included: a complete formal treatment (24 pages) and a concise preprint with explicit uncertainty quantification and failure mode analysis (16 pages). Not peer-reviewed. Speculative throughout. Estimated probability of the full framework being correct: ~0.003–8%, depending on scope. Published in the spirit that structured uncertainty generating testable predictions is the beginning of science, not its absence.
