This conceptual outline proposes a framework for understanding mass and gravity through vortex rings, suggesting new avenues in physics.
We propose a single-medium ontology in which the vacuum is a stretchable, vorticity-carrying superfluid-like field and all physical entities emerge from propagating or bound vortex rings. Three primitives — tightness, drag-precession rate, and relative inter-ring angles — generate mass, gravity, electromagnetism, quantum behavior, and cyclic cosmology without additional fields or singularities. A stronger reading treats the free-propagating vortex ring as the medium's default mode, with matter, gravity, and time as deviations from that baseline. The framework addresses eleven major open problems in physics including wave-particle duality, the measurement problem, baryogenesis, the black hole information paradox, and quantum gravity. Recent experimental observations of electron vortices in graphene provide empirical support. This is a conceptual outline inviting mathematical formalization and collaboration.
